Cheery Lynn Pop Up Celebrate

Hi everyone!

Just playing around with my Koi watercolors today...I made some simple rainbow strokes with my brush on water color paper and then let it dry.

I added the sentiment from Avery Elle's So Happy set and cut it out with MFT's Banner dies. Then I added Cheery Lynn's pop up celebrate...I cut off just the word....and then added a flower with an enamel dot in the center.

Dies R Us Valentine Tags

Hi everyone!

The challenge today at Dies R Us is," Tag You're It!"

Our Store
I really had fun with this! One day while I was cruising the isles at Target, I saw a big container of Valentine chip boards. They were too cute to pass up.

I've been using them for all sorts of cards and projects. Today I'm sharing the ones I used for my tags, along with Tutti Design shapes. I love the new nesting shapes and sizes, just perfect for so many projects.

I used Tutti's dotted nesting square here....

the scalloped stitched nesting rectangles....

and the scalloped stitched nesting circles.

All I did was cut and adhere! I did use my glue gun for the chipboard, so it would really stay in place. Then I tied on some bakers twine.

Here's a list of the dies I used that you can find at Dies R Us:

The Male Room Sports/Winter Olympics Challenge

Today I'm guest designing over at The Male Room. Yay!

The theme is, "Sport/Winter Olympics."

Since I'm a Minnesota girl, I made a couple of Minnesota Viking Football cards. We had a really great season this year, and also hosted the Super Bowl, so much fun!

I started out with some Vikings paper I found at our local craft store, and did some layering. The helmet and letters GO are from Cheery Lynn.

Here's the inside of my card:

The football and heart are also from Cheery Lynn, and the letters SKOL are cut out from Lil Inker stitched letter dies.

SKOL means cheers or good health. Skal was a bowl that was often filled with beer and shared among friends, and it became a way of saying, "Cheers!"

Here's the fight song lyrics:

Skol Vikings, let's win this game,

Skol Vikings, honor your name,
Go get that first down,
Then get a touchdown.
Rock 'em . . . Sock 'em
Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Go Vikings, run up the score,
You'll hear us yell for more. . .
Skol Vikings, let's go!

Actually SKOL is spelled Skal with a circle above the a, or skaal in Norwegian. It just so happens my maiden name is Skaaland, and this is our ancestors village in Norway I hope to visit some day!

My second card is also made with the same papers and dies:

Here's the inside of this card:

I sure had fun making this Viking card set for The Male Room.
I hope you will join us!

Disney's Olaf for The Paper Players

I'm the host this week at The Paper Players and I chose:

I love this color combo!

For Christmas one of my kids gave me Disney's Olaf die. I think he's just too cute! I did buy some stuffed animal Olaf's at Macy's this year too. I don't have any little kids or grandkids to give them too, but they were such a good deal and so cute I had to have them. I donated them to the local toy drive.

For my card, I started out by cutting out a few Lil Inker stitched rectangles. Then I added Tim Holtz trees for a background, cut out in white for a snowy back drop for Olaf. I did a bit of paper piercing on Olaf before I adhered him to the card. The expression on his face is so happy! I added a couple of tiny black jewels for his eyes.

I used my stitched hearts from Memory Box and adhered a few here and there. The sentiment is from Poppystamps Grateful Heart stamp set.
