Frosty the Snowman

Hi everyone!
I'm over at Cheery Lynn today...please stop by!

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Cheery Lynn's Warm and Cozy Sweater for the Paper Players

Sandy has a new challenge for us at The Paper Players:

Warm and timely!

I don't know about you, but I've been digging out my warmer clothes lately. Time to get out those sweaters, and coats and boots and mittens, and scarves and.....the list goes on and on!

My card for the challenge features Cheery Lynn's Fun with Sweater kit. I cut out the sweater in some cute designer paper and adhered it to a Cheery Lynn circle, and then a rectangle. I also tucked a pretty snowflake under the circle.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Cozy Greetings....the set goes so well with my sweater kit!

I added a sparkly enamel dot in the center of the snowflake.

Snow for Dies R Us

Time for snow!

And for the new Dies R Us Challenge!

Our Challenge Blog

Not too long ago, I was in our local craft store at the mall, and found this beautiful paper from Kaisercraft called Christmas Jewel Collection. The purples and silvers are just stunning! I bought  a few sheets of each, thinking it would be perfect for this snow challenge.

I love the silver snowflakes in the background:

I created a frame with a rectangle die, adhered it onto a piece of the designer paper, and added my fancy deer with a bow from Cheery Lynn in the center.

For this one, I added the sentiment from Sue Wilson, and the snowflakes from Cheery Lynn.

The last card of the set has a stitched snowflake from Lawn Fawn with a bow from Cheery Lynn. Each card is popped up with a piece of foam cut the size of the frame for added dimension.
I added a pearl in the center of each card.

Here's a list of the dies I used:

Papertrey Christ is Born!

Hi everyone!

I've been having fun with some stamps I bought from Papertrey recently. I kind of fell in love with their $5 stamp ones come out each month...uto.....

But this one I HAD to have.

When I was growing up, my family had a sign that we hung up outside every Christmas that said,"Christ is Born." My dad made that sign, and he hung Christmas lights all around it. After we hung up all the lights, Dad and I would go out into the street arm in arm, and gaze at the house. One of many of my favorite memories with him!

So of course this set reminded me of him, and it ended up in my cart!!!

I embossed it in white on some watercolor paper, then just brushed some blue water color over it. When it had dried, I did a bit of splattering with my brush. Then I cut it out with MFT's stitched rectangle. I adhered a piece of white foam underneath, and then adhered that onto the scalloped rectangle that comes with the Blueprint #20 set. One sparkly enamel dot from Stampin' Up completed the card.

I'm entering this at:

White on White for The Paper Players

Nance has a white on white challenge for us at The Paper Players:

I LOVE white on white....they are always SO pretty! I can't wait to see the gallery.

For my card I did some layering. I started with a Memory Box Circle Burst, then I added a Cheery Lynn Snowflake. In the center I added a poinsettia, also from Cheery Lynn. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

Happy Little Stampers November Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers:

I went with a retro Christmas card for the "anything goes with dies" challenge. I just love that fun car! I added some sequins to the tree, and backed it onto a pierced circle. I stamped the sentiment from Happy Little Stampers Christmas Joy in black.

I backed it all on a stitched rectangle, and tied on some bakers twine.
